How we operate

These are the main steps we take in licensing and protecting our technologies:

Step 1

Develop, commission or acquire unique, valuable technologies.

We have three sources for the unique technologies we work with:

our own technologies developed by us;
technologies we commission others to develop for us;
technologies we acquire from other inventors.

Step 2

Further develop as needed so they are ready for packaging and marketing.

When a new, unique technology has been identified, we set up a development company specifically to continue the research and development process to bring the technology to a point where it is ready to go to market.

Step 3

Find or create a suitable business model, then package and market the technologies.

Each unique technology requires a particular business model in order for it to succeed broadly. Once this is established, the packaging and marketing can be executed.

Step 4

Protect the technologies by patent, trade secret and author’s rights.

A key purpose for AEIP is the full protection of the technology we own, whichever of the three sources it came from. There are virtually no limits to the measures we will take to protect this intellectual property.

Step 5

License them and form partnerships where appropriate so that their use is expanded.

Where appropriate and viable, we will license our technologies for use by others. We also form strategic partnerships to help make the technology broadly available, for example, in a specific geographic zone where it is more efficient for a local partner to manage the expansion.

Step 6

Monitor, inspect and enforce.

Part of the protection of the IP we own is regular monitoring of its use in line with our patents and the licenses we issue. This not only prevents abuse or theft of the IP, but also ensures that our high quality standards are maintained.

Our own inventions and developments.

We, the founders of AEIP, are both inventors and developers of technology in our own right, with a long pipeline of inventions and technologies already in various stages of development. Protection and promotion of these technologies is why AEIP was founded. We have since expanded to two other sources of unique technologies.

Technologies whose development we commission.

When we see a need for a solution to a particular problem but it is not an area we have specific expertise in, or simply do not have the time to develop, we may commission development of an idea, technology or product to trusted engineers and developers. We closely monitor such development

Technologies we acquire from other inventors.

We are often approached by inventors of unique technologies to help them bring their idea to market. Inventors are just that – inventors. They are not usually business people and prefer not to involve themselves in the legal, promotional and marketing side of things. We provide a service that is unique and very fair, to help them with these vital factors.
